About ME...
Creativity has always been ingrained in my life, as have animals and the land. I was raised on a hill country farm in New Zealand and my fondest memories are of riding my pony up steep slopes and along the flats of our farm.
Fast forward to 18 - I left the horses behind to study at university - I completed Bachelor of Arts with First Class Honours in Political Science at Canterbury University, followed up by a journalism diploma at the University of Technology in Sydney and then spent over ten years in the media industry in Auckland working for leading magazines - as a writer and editor, often working on photoshoots and styling magazine spreads.
I relocated to New York to work as a journalist in 2006, to be with my now husband. Eventually my creative bent led me to study fine art at Parsons School of Design where I majored in print making. After six years in New York we relocated to San Francisco where I took photography classes and began shooting families and taking on photography projects for local businesses.
Currently I am the roving Visual Arts Editor for Viva Magazine and continue to write stories and often shoot portraits and lifestyle images for these art related articles. I relish the contact with other creative individuals and am often inspired by the people I meet. Our small farm in Clevedon is home to all my favourite things - family, horses, garden, two cats and a dog. I offer limited edition print sales online and sell through interior designers and local art shows - reach out to me and I can arrange for a framed photograph to be delivered to your door.
